Meerschweinbau is a durational performance by Hannah Lutz Winkler and Gumbo the guinea pig. For 32 continuous hours, the two co-habitated Stephen Street Gallery, which Lutz Winkler had transformed into a cage-installation designed to meet both of their basic needs. Members of the human public were invited to enter the gallery during open hours, when they could purchase small bags of produce to offer to the performers. The entirety of the performance was live-streamed via Twitch.
